Stay a week. Treat it as a trial — we do.
A respite stay answers the questions that matter: how the food really tastes, how the nights really feel, whether the staff learn your name (they will). Stay for a week or two to recover from an operation, to give a caring family a rest, or simply to see whether Aldridge Court could be home. There is no obligation and no pressure — a good home has nothing to fear from a trial.

The practicals
What to bring: label clothing; pack familiar things — photographs, a chair-side blanket, the radio, the biscuit tin. Hand over the full medication list and repeat prescriptions, GP details, and any hospital letters. Tell us the small things: how she takes her tea, what name he answers to — write it down, we will ask for exactly this.
Arrival day: come mid-morning if you can; we will have the room ready, and the kettle on.
Fees: every respite stay is quoted plainly, in writing, before you book — the amount depends on our assessment of care needs once we have met you.
