Dining at Aldridge Court — Cooked Fresh, Served Properly

Nursing care in a Georgian country home in Aldridge — family-run since 1986

Cooked fresh, served properly. Every meal at Aldridge Court is cooked fresh, on the premises, by our own two chefs — and served with proper silver service at every lunch and every dinner. Not reheated, not trayed up in a hurry: cooked, plated and served the way you would hope for in a good restaurant, every single day.

A varied selection, every day

There is always a wide selection to choose from: a choice of popular breakfasts each morning, and a varied, nutritious selection of starters, mains and desserts at lunch and dinner. Our hostesses go round each morning so every resident can pick from that day’s menus — and we encourage residents to ask; our chefs like nothing better than a request. We are flexible about when residents eat, too: food is available through the day, drinks day and night, and tea whenever anyone wants one.

Where the food comes from

We use established local firms for our meat and fresh produce wherever we can. It matters: you can taste the difference, and our residents notice.

Looked after, individually

When someone joins us, our chefs sit down with them — and with family, where that helps — to understand likes, dislikes and any dietary needs, from diabetic and soft diets to smaller appetites that need tempting. The menus evolve around our residents, not the other way round.

Hygiene: the highest rating, again

It is absolutely critical that food in a nursing home is prepared hygienically — and we are delighted to say Aldridge Court has once again been awarded the maximum food hygiene rating (5) under the Food Standards Agency scheme, inspected by Walsall Council (most recently 12 March 2026). Don’t take our word for it: see our rating for yourself on the official register.

Taste it yourself

The best way to judge a kitchen is to eat from it. When you visit — any day, no appointment — stay for lunch. We will feed you too.
