Aldridge Court has been family-run since 1986. Forty years is long enough to be measured honestly, and we publish the measure.
One family, from the first day
Aldridge Court opened as a nursing home in 1986, founded by Dr Brij Mohan Malhotra. When Dr Malhotra died in 1997, his wife, Mrs Jasbir Malhotra, carried the home on — supported throughout by their son-in-law, Jat Wasu. In 2003 Jat bought the home from his mother-in-law, taking the same family into its next generation. More than forty years on, the home is still operated by its founder’s family — and that continuity is what families notice first: many of our team have been here more than a decade, the manager’s door is open, and the standards are personal — because the home always has been.

A CQC rating stands until the CQC changes it. Between full inspections we complete the CQC’s regulatory review each year — and the rating has been retained at every one.
- 2019 (23 July) — full inspection: GOOD. Safe, Effective, Caring and Responsive all rated Good; Well-led rated “requires improvement” — and we would rather tell you about that ourselves than have you find it.
- 2020 — annual review: rating retained, GOOD.
- 2021 — annual review: rating retained, GOOD.
- 2022 — annual review: rating retained, GOOD.
- 2023 (6 July) — CQC review of the service: no reassessment required, rating retained, GOOD.
